Gondi is a wall painting art practiced by the Gond tribe of Madhya Pradesh, India. It is characterized by bold animal forms and tree-of-life motifs, painted with vibrant colours and extremely rich and intricate visual textures. Each tribal gond artist has his own signature style of painting these textures. These textures can be dots, lines, circles or their combinations. These story-telling paintings became the source of inspiration for this project.
