Mrunmayee Namjoshi is a designer, entrepreneur and a lover of all things handcrafted. She explores design through textiles, textures, prints and crafts. Trained in Textile Design at the National Institute of Design in India, she provides design consultancy for textile collections. She also designs prints & patterns for various brands and fashion houses.

She enjoys travelling through the country to seek inspiration for her enterprise, that revolves around her fascination towards jewellery. Studying design and working as a designer for the past 7 years has led her to work with traditional crafts of India on a grass-root level. It made her realise that the Indian craft sector is a treasure trove, which has only been explored with a certain degree of design intervention. At a time when the world is becoming aware of the value of ethical, eco-friendly and sustainable things made by hand, Indian crafts are the torchbearers of contemporary Indian luxury. This was her inspiration behind creating ‘VAM’. VAM is an ethical, handmade, crafts-based jewellery and accessories brand. VAM creates well-designed, timeless, heirloom quality products with unprecedented material & craft combinations.
